Join us in Salem this Monday, May 23, when we will be meeting with elected officials and attending the Senate Environment and Natural Resources Committee hearing on Air quality. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate collective power and tell your legislators that clean air needs to be a priority.

Oregon is facing a toxic air crisis. Dirty diesel emissions and hazardous industrial pollutants are known causes of major health problems, including neurological and developmental damage, reduced fertility, respiratory disease, and cancer. These are real problems that shape the lives of Oregonians and disproportionately impact low-income and minority communities.

We need enforceable standards that are based on health risk and adequate funding to enforce them, but to this point, our lawmakers have chosen to put our health behind the interests of industry lobbyists. It's time for us to demand action now.

A bus and carpools will be leaving from Holladay Park in Portland at 11:30 am. Materials and lunch will be provided.

Please RSVP by signing up at the FB Event Page.
